For Immediate Release:
CharterOak Adds New Equalizer to the Evolving Signal Processor Line
ENFIELD, CT – (Sept 24, 2009) – CharterOak Acoustic Devices, manufacturers of high quality, hand assembled audio products is excited to debut the PEQ-1 Stereo Program Equalizer at the upcoming New York AES show. (booth 661)
The PEQ-1 prototype was demonstrated for the first time at Frankfurt Musikmesse last March. "We knew the unit had serious potential the moment we demonstrated it for the first customer at the show" comments CharterOaks Marketing VP. The equalizer is a switchable 16 band program equalizer that is intended for use as a finishing tool on the mix buss or in mastering. "The equalizer has an incredibly musical sound with a layout that naturally leads you to do the right thing", says CharterOak's founder, Michael Deming. Finishing touches have been completed and the first production unit will be ready to audition on the show floor and begins shipping the following week.

The CharterOak PEQ-1 is an active equalizer that employs the very best
operational amplifiers, capacitors, resistors, input transformers, and
output transformers that are available today. The design of the PEQ-1
is very intuitive, as the carefully chosen switchable center frequency
points and overlapping bands are perfectly suited for music production.
The equalizer is extremely clean and free of distortion, which allows
for large amounts of boost in the upper frequencies without any harshness.
The equalizer also boasts extremely tight and focused bass and perfect
stereo imaging, all of which make it an excellent choice across the mix
buss or in a mastering environment.
The processor is delivered with a lifetime warranty on all parts and labor
and easy access to factory technical support.
