CharterOak SA538B Captures Lead Vocals on Two Current Hit Singles, Rob Thomas, "Her Diamonds" and Gloriana, "Wild at Heart"

ENFIELD, CT – (July 2009) – Grammy Award winning artist Rob Thomas captures his vocal emotion on the hit single "Her Diamonds" through a CharterOak SA538B. Also climbing the charts Taylor Swift tour mates, Gloriana with their debut single "Wild at Heart".

Producer Matt Serletic and Thomas selected the SA538B from a blind shoot out consisting of Neumann U67, Neumann M149, Audio Technica AT4050, AKG 414, Manley Gold Reference, Neumann FET U47, Sennheiser 441, TelefunkenUSA ELA M251, Shure SM7, CharterOak SA538B, Neumann U87 and AKG C12. The SA538B was chosen over all of these for the vocals on “Her Diamonds” the rest of Thomas's new album entitled Cradle Song.

Serletic, who also produced Gloriana's new album purchased a second SA538B via same day air courier to complete Tom Gossin's lead vocals for "Wild at Heart" and other album tracks. Serletic was recording at Blackbird Studios in Nashville at the time, a studio with a world-class microphone locker. "We couldn't believe it when the studio called looking to have an SA538B for that evening's session." commented Jen Wason, VP of Marketing and PR for CharterOak.
